From the teacher, Sharon Wagner: Remember peanut beads (farfalle or bow ties??), have some in your stash? Never figured out what to do with them? Here is a great way to use them! This is a tubular netting rope that resembles chenille stitch, but is simpler to create. Instruction will include the basic rope, suggestions for variations/embellishments and uses.
Supplies Required for students to bring:
- Peanut beads (Czech or Japanese it does not matter)
- 11/0 seed beads
- 15/0 seed beads (optional design element)
- Beading thread or Fireline
- Beading Needle Select contrasting or coordinating colors for peanuts and 11s, and then I like to use a very dark or very light contrasting color for the 15s.
These ideas will be discussed in detail during class.
